  • Hobbies:
  • Endurance Cycling—ultimate goal for me is www.deathride.com 129 miles and 15,000 feet of climbing in one day. Playing Softball and Adjunct professor at Bible college in Reno
  • Favorite Music: I like it all—country, classic rock, modern rock, alternative, some metal
  • Favorite active NASCAR driver: I typically just like good racing, but if I had to choose, I’d go with Dale Jr. or Denny Hamlin …Denny because I raced him on-line once.
  • Favorite all-time NASCAR driver: I’m a newbie at NASCAR, so I don’t feel right claiming anyone. I think I would have liked Cale Yarbrough.
  • Which NASCAR driver does your driving style most closely match: Currently, Mark Martin or Bill Elliot, since I only show up a few times per year.
  • Have you ever been to a NASCAR race, if so where: No…would love to attend Darlington (for the tradition…it’s my favorite to drive), Texas (that’s where I grew up), or Vegas (Nevada is home now).
  • What kind vehicle do you drive: 2004 Black Chevy Silverado Crew Cab
  • Do you see yourself still racing online one year from now: I’d like to, but my schedule changed in 2007. I teach/preach on Sunday mornings and use Saturday nights for final preparation and memorization. When our church only had Tuesday night services, I always raced. When we added a second Sunday morning service, that prevented me from racing. I typically race on the weekends that I don’t teach.
  • If money were no object, where and what would you be doing right now:
  • Work: I’d change nothing. I love my job. We have a lot of freedom that most churches don’t get to experience.
  • Play: I’d like to buy a racecar, hire a great mechanic/crew chief, and then give it a go on some local tracks.
  • Travel: I’d love to see the country with my family, go to every major league baseball stadium, catch a few NASCAR races, and golf on some beautiful courses.
  • Anything else you care to tell us:
  • I miss the weekly camaraderie and competition of Saturday night racing. I think FTR has top quality drivers and some really top quality people.
