Season Format
This will be just like the Sprint Cup Championship that NASCAR uses with exception there will be a 9 race Chase to the Championship instead of 10 races. There will be a points champion determined at the end of each "Race To The Chase" season. All "Race To The Chase" season points will be combined to determine the point standings to start the final "Chase To The Championship"  The NASCAR point system will be used in all race events.  Refer to the Standings section located on the right side of the Home page to see how points are awarded.

The Final "Chase To The Championship" season will consist of 9 races.  In order to qualify to participate in the "Chase To The Championship" season, a driver must participate in at least 15 of the 26 races in the "Race To The Chase" seasons.  Provisional starts are not allowed; a driver must actually take the green flag in 15 race events. At the beginning of the "Chase To The Championship" season, each driver will start with points awarded based on the finish order of the combined "Race To The Chase" seasons.

Points are awarded in the following manner:
1st = 100 points
2nd = 95 points
3rd = 90 points
4th = 85 points
5th = 80 points
6th = 77 points
7th = 74 points
8th = 71 points
9th = 68 points
10th = 66 points
all other positions follow at 2 point interval

* Note: Any driver that has not participated in the minimum 15 race events necessary to qualify for the "Chase To The Championship", are welcome to participate in the final 9 race events, however the driver will receive no points.
