• Drivers will be required to compete with patience and have respect for other opponents both on the track and off.

  • Suspension or removal from the league for intentional wrecking will be strictly enforced.

  • Cars that fall off the pace due to damage or after being lapped are required to yield to faster cars and lead lap cars.

  • The most important thing above anything else is to keep our league friendly. The one thing that we WILL NOT TOLERATE is people with bad tempers or bad attitudes.

  • Actions deemed detrimental to the league.  This is a very wide open and powerful rule.  Any action, words or just anything that comes to mind that is not in the best interests of the league and/or its' members will be subject to review and possible penalty and/or expulsion.

  • 10 Lap Rule -- Lapped cars: If restarting after a caution with 10 laps or less to go in race, all cars not on lead lap shall drive down pit road to allow lead lap cars to line up nose-to-tail on the restart.  If less than 10 laps to go under green flag,  then lapped and/or damaged cars shall offer no resistance whatsoever to any car on lead lap.
  Clarification:
The objective is to allow all lead lap cars to line up nose-to-tail and battle among themselves the final 10
laps.  It also allows lapped cars to battle with other cars on same lap as they are.  Cars that are 1 lap
down or more should consider their chance of victory over and continue to race to maintain or improve their
position with cars on the same lap.  All cars not on the lead lap shall drive down pit road while all lead lap
cars remain on the track.  When driving down pit road, you do not have to stop in your pit box.  Lapped
cars can continue down pit road and back onto track.  By doing this correctly,  everyone will have the
same position as before driving down pit road.  If you stop in your pit box,  that is of your own choosing
and you will lose positions to the cars who continues to drive on thru.  Be sure to obey the stop/go sign at
the end of pit road.  Do Not Pass on pit road unless a car stops in his/her pit box.
Key Point:
This only works if everyone that is lapped drives down pit road.  If even one lapped car stays out,  then that
car will gain an unfair advantage. There are times when we do not need to drive down pit road.
Example: There are only 2 cars on the lead lap and they both are lined up together at the head of the field.
In this case,  the 10 lap warning is still displayed to warn everyone not to interfere with these two cars.

  • Blocking is an accepted defensive tactic of racing when the situation calls for it.  It is not called for on lap #1.  It is not called for on lap #100 of a 150 lap race either.  Unnecessary blocking shall be a judgement call by FTR official and subject to warning and/or penalty.
Blocking is allowed when:
SS tracks: 5 laps to go to finish
SW tracks: 10 laps to go
ST tracks: 15 laps to go
RC tracks: 0 to go
** If you block, don't cry if you get punted!  Likewise, if you intentionally wreck someone, refer to
the Intentional Wrecking rule above!  (2nd rule from top)

  • Flaming is totally forbidden.  Friendships and good sportsmanship cannot grow if we are calling each other names. This includes races, practice sessions, emails and message boards.

  • Restarts: After pace car drops onto pit road, maintain pace car speed until green flag waves.  A variance of
+5 mph is permitted.  Anything more than the allowed variance will result in a 1 lap penalty for each mph over
the variance.  Penalty will be determined in post race review by inspecting each drivers speed at the instant
the green light activates on the light fixtures mounted on the fences.  No passing on left until after you pass
start/finish line.  Passing on right is permitted after green flag waves.  Speed checks and brake checks are not
  allowed.

  • Email Wars:  Emailing back and forth between two members and including all other league members is not allowed. Discussion between 2 drivers is encouraged, but sending copies to one or all other members is considered a form of Flaming.

  • No chatting is allowed during qualifying.

  • On restarts, allow sufficient time for tires to warm-up for best grip.  Use common sense and do not force a pass until the car can handle it.

  • Server exit: Due to server difficulties, once you enter the server you are not allowed to leave. Please come prepared.  We realize that this will cause some problems for a few but it is a necessary step to insure a stable server.

  • Warping - If you are identified as warping by more then one member, you will move to the bottom of the track safely and fall back behind everyone till your connection improves. If it does not improve please use caution and stay out of the way of the other racers so as not to create any wrecks. We don't want you to drop out just use caution and hope your connection improves.
Rules
Rules will be reviewed and updated as needed
Our goal is to not change rules in mid-season
Points

  • The points calculator by Robert Rathbone and/or the Race Points Manager will be used to figure points standings. This will be from the actual race export.  The race export results will be the only official finishing order.  Point Standings are usually posted soon after completion of a race, however the results shall not be considered final until after post-race replay review and setup inspection is completed. (Usually within 24 hours after a race, but no time limit is in place)

  • 5 bonus points will be awarded for leading a lap.
5 bonus points will be awarded for leading most laps.
5 bonus points will be awarded to pole winner.

  • No race shall be final unless ran to its conclusion.  In event of server failure, the race shall be re-run at later date if possible.

  • Provisional's: You will be allowed 2 provisional starts per mini season.  You will then be given last place points for that missed race. Provisional's may be used for whatever reason the member chooses.

  • Replacement drivers are not permitted.

  • Tiebreaker
If a tie should occur at the end of any scheduled season, the following method will be used to determine a
season champion:
1) Wins
2) Top 5's
3) % Laps Completed
4) % Laps Led
Penalty System

Penalties will be administered using the following format:

  • Warnings:  Warnings can be applied on the spot or later via email.

  • Ejection.  If a driver ignores a warning during race,  then driver will be told to leave server.  If driver does not immediately comply,  then driver will be ejected from the server.  In the event the league official cannot type a warning message due to driving,  then penalty will be administered during post-race review.

  • Points removal.  Member may have points subtracted from his season point total.

  • Probation. Member may be placed on probation for any length of time.  During this time, any penalty for another incident will receive much stiffer penalty including possible expulsion from the league.

  • Suspension.  This will be for either 1 or 2 races.

  • Expulsion.  Any penalty deemed severe enough that suspension does not do justice will be expelled from league.

  • Any penalty listed above may be combined.  Example: 1 race suspension and probation for remainder of season.

Protest Format

  • First and foremost: Wait.  Do not submit a protest until after 12 Noon the day after race is run.  This gives you time to think clearly and hopefully with good reasoning.  No protest will be accepted for review until after 12 noon on Sunday.  If received before 12 noon,  protest will be rejected and no further protest accepted for that incident.

  • To submit a protest,  email league official a complete and detailed explanation of incident.  A replay clip shall be attached.  This clip needs to include:
              * Lap of incident

  • Any protest that does not include replay clip will be invalid.  NO Replay Clip..... NO Protest.

  • Any protest received containing the entire race replay will be rejected.

  • The driver that the protest was lodged against will be notified by email of the protest and will have a reasonable amount of time to reply with his/her side of incident in question.

  • League official will review protest using both drivers input.

  • League official will rule with one of  3 judgements:
     1. Protest valid.  Action will be taken against driver the protest was made.
     2. No judgement. This is either insufficient evidence to warrant action or determined to be "just a racin deal".
     3. Protest unjustified.  Protest is judged to be without warrant.

  • Judgement will be done by league officials.  All decisions are final.

Race Restart, Black Flag, Yellow Flag & Laps Back Policy

  • We will restart a race if someone misses the start.  This is only for someone that was present on the server at the beginning of qualifying.  Once qualifying starts,  the server will not be reset to allow anyone in.

  • We will allow a restart for a yellow 1 (one) time only, provided the leader has not crossed the start/finish line, completing lap one. If the leader has crossed the line, no restarts will be given.

  • No chatting is allowed from the time you enter the track until after the green flag waves.  The only exception to this is if someone misses the start and must notify the admin.

  • The race administrator will never intentionally force a yellow flag in a points race event.

Lucky Dog
  • At the moment a yellow flag is displayed, all cars shall maintain their current position and continue at race speed until you cross the start/finish line to officially take the yellow flag. No passing is allowed under yellow flag condition. After crossing the start/finish line, normal slow down and pacing procedures shall begin.

  • The first car that is 1 lap down shall speed on pit road. This will cause you to receive a black flag with the penalty being to restart at the end of the longest line (eoll).

  • The Driver receiving the Lucky Dog must restart at the tail-end of the field. To ensure this, the Driver shall drive pit road on every yellow flag lap and make sure he is the last car to leave pit road. The only exception is if another car remains on pit road for extensive repairs. If a Driver does not restart at the rear of the field no lap back will be awarded.

  • When the green flag is waved, the Admin in charge of handling the Lucky Dog rule will award a lap back. In case there are no cars 1 lap down but a car is 2 or more laps down, then only 1 lap will be awarded by the Admin.

  • No driver shall receive a Lucky Dog award if he is the cause of the yellow flag. The next driver in line will be awarded the Lucky Dog.

  • The Lucky Dog award will not be in effect with 10 laps or less remaining in a race when the yellow flag occurs.. If a yellow displays with 11 laps or more to go, (even if the restart will occur with less than 10 laps to go), the Lucky Dog  will still be in effect and awarded accordingly. The amount of laps remaining is recorded at the moment the leader crosses the start/finish line and lines up behind the pace car.

  • Racing back to the line is allowed with less than 10 laps to go.
